McFarlane Website Help

This document provides help for common problems encountered while navigating the McFarlane website. If you cannot find an answer to your question here, then please contact us for help.

Search Tips

If multi-word phrases do not produce results, then try searching for each word individually.
Search is not case sensitive.
Select the Part Number search type to search for a specific part number. All or part of the part number may be entered.
Select the Keyword search type to search for part numbers that contain a specific word or phrase in the products description.

Eligibility Search Tips

If you do not know your serial number, you can just select your aircraft make and model.
The model you select must be specific. A 172 is not the same as a 172B.
Serial numbers must be complete. For example, 15073660 cannot be entered as 73660.
Hyphens in serial numbers are optional. For example, 28-7325001 and 287325001 are considered equivalent.
For web browsers with JavaScript enabled, you do not need to click the Submit button when you select a make or model. After typing a serial number, you do need to click the submit button.
Due to the limitations of our product database, some parts that are eligible for your aircraft may not appear on the returned list of products when your aircraft make, model, or serial number is selected. If you can't find what your looking for, please call or email us.
Due to the possibility of error in eligibility data and the possibility of non-standard aircraft configurations, McFarlane Aviation, Inc. cannot be responsible for application of our products. The user of the products must verify correct eligibility and function of our products.

Login and User Account

How to Change Your Login Password or Email Address

To change the email address or password associated with your account, please email webmaster@mcfarlaneaviation.com with both your old and new email address and password. Changing your email address will cause everything currently in your shopping cart to be lost. If you've ordered before, your address and billing information will be retained.

Why Login or Register?

Logging in is not required to browse the McFarlane website or even to add items to a shopping cart although items may be lost between visits if not logged in. There are several reasons you may want to login when you visit the McFarlane website:

The contents of your shopping cart will be saved between visits even if you are using another computer.
Any applicable discounts (for FBO's, flying clubs, etc.) will be reflected in the prices shown on the website when you are logged in.
Login is required before you check out.
Your address and billing information is saved with your login account after your first order for your convenience.

Shopping Cart Tips

Using your browser's back or refresh buttons may cause unexpected results such as, adding previously added items to your cart again, or displaying incorrect quantity or subtotal information in your shopping cart summary box in the upper right corner of the page. If the shopping cart summary is displaying an incorrect quantity, then click on the View Cart link to see an up-to-date list of items in your cart. You may then add or remove items.
