NOTE:

PA-28-161 aircraft, s/n 2816001 thru 2816119 and 28-7816254 thru 28-8616057  use PTL-KT-4 for the main landing gear torque links.  Some of these aircraft are fitted with a main gear fairing that requires a bolt, threaded on each end, to secure the lower torque link arm and  the fairing. The aircraft serial number does not indicate which bolt is needed.  The installer must determine correct bolt, as described below, and order in addition to the PTL-KT-4.

Bolt P/N 37881-002 is 3.96 inches in length and is used with fairings made from cycolac (plastic).

Bolt P/N 37881-003 is 4.22 inches long as used with fairings made from fiberglass.

Kit PTL-KT-4 does contain a standard bolt use on aircraft without a main landing gear fairing.

Bolts are available from McFarlane Aviation, Inc.
