This engineering position encompasses all aspects of general aviation systems including design, development, testing, process and product support and design maintenance. General Description: Perform a variety of engineering work including, but not limited to: support the launch of new product development through the design, development and implementation of production equipment, design and development of production processes, identification of continuous improvement ideas and the subsequent implementation, tool design, fabrication and test, and ongoing production support. Will support engineering and production teams in the evaluation of current and development of new processes for manufacturing and production processes. Lead in the design and development of manufacturing tooling and production fixtures. Support all teams in the development of CAD model and produce the necessary associated drawings. Work with engineering, manufacturing and production teams to develop the most effective and efficient processes while developing the costs for each of products McFarlane produces. Conduct workflow analysis studies and identify continuous improvement ideas to improve products, processes and overall product costs. Identify and recommend improvements to production or testing equipment and technique. Reports to the Production Engineering Manager. For more information refer to the Job Description.
