General Description: Perform a variety of purchasing duties including, but not limited to; supporting the Purchasing Manager and Purchasing Department with buying critical materials and basic supplies. This person will develop relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts for the benefit of McFarlane Aviation Products. This position is responsible for buying items at the best value; creating purchase orders, and soliciting bid proposals. This individual will also review requests for goods and be sure suppliers offer appropriate pricing, technical support, and reliability. The purchasing professional will negotiate contracts with suppliers and must also follow all laws and regulations related to purchasing. They must also keep their manager informed of their progress, information on contract changes, and updates on item shipments.
