Pulsar Navigation/Anti-Collision/Position Lights

High Efficiency, Low Drag

The AeroLED’s Pulsar Navigation, Anti-Collision, and Position Lights utilize one of the industry’s smallest foot-prints, and are designed for some of the most extreme operating conditions on the planet making this light ideal for use in Experimental, Certified, Commercial, ARFF, and Military aircraft. Several options include Anti-Collision Strobe and/or Position features to greatly increase recognition in broad daylight as well as night operation to help avoid midair collisions. Pulsar LED Navigation Lights can be used in both new and retrofit designs for both fixed wing and rotorcraft.

Note: No external power supply required. Strobe synchronization available with all Pulsar Series Lights. Mounting brackets included.

Differences between the Pulsar N, NS, and the Pulsar NSP:

Pulsar N

Part of the Pulsar N Series™ LED Navigation Lights, the Pulsar N serves as a navigation light for directional red and green positioning. Designed with an industry-standard mounting footprint, an aerodynamically low drag profile, standard three-position mounting screw pattern with a patented mounting bracket, they are ideal for replacing legacy light installations.

Pulsar NS

Part of the Pulsar N Series™ LED Navigation Lights, the Pulsar NS serves as a two-in-one light—a navigation light for directional red and green positioning, and an Anti-Collision/Strobe Light to increase visibility in both daylight and night flight. Designed with an industry-standard mounting footprint, an aerodynamically low drag profile, standard three-position mounting screw pattern with a patented mounting bracket, they are ideal for replacing legacy light installations.

Pulsar NSP

Part of the Pulsar N Series™ LED Navigation Lights, the Pulsar NSP serves as a three-in-one light—a navigation light for directional red and green positioning, an Anti-Collision/Strobe Light increases visibility in both daylight and night, and a rear-facing white Position Light. Designed with an industry-standard mounting footprint, an aerodynamically low drag profile, standard three-position mounting screw pattern with a patented mounting bracket, they are ideal for replacing legacy light installations.

Learn more about AeroLEDs.

AeroLEDs offer high efficiency, direct replacement LED lighting for hundreds of aircraft. AeroLEDs are light weight, shock and vibration resistant, and have low drag. LED lighting easily lasts over 50,000 hours of continuous operation with no reduction by on/off cycles, with up to 80% reduced power consumption. The built-in Pulse Mode and synchronization blink the light on and off at a 1Hz rate when power is applied to the Pulse Mode power wire. Higher color temperature provides superior visibility and clarity.

Increased Safety

AeroLEDs lights allow you to comply with the latest FAA recommendations (Operation Lights On) regarding extended use of taxi, landing and anti-collision lights without fear of reduced light performance or life. They all feature optimized light color (6500k sunlight equivalent) for proven superior air-to-air recognition. The landing lights also feature a pulsed recognition light mode.

Reduced Power Consumption

High efficiency LED lights use less than 1/3 the power of halogen bulbs. They significantly reduce the load on the electrical system and they will not dim due to low voltage typical of low RPM final approaches when you need them most!

Longer Life - Zero Maintenance

All AeroLEDs products are designed to be a "lifetime buy." They last over 50,000 hours when properly installed and do not degrade with on/off cycles. They are extremely rugged and hardened against all kinds of electrical damage, shock and vibration.

Pulse Recognition Mode

AeroLEDs lights with pulse mode (or wig-wag mode) greatly improve safety by alternately blinking the left then right light once per second. This dramatically increases your aircraft visibility to prevent both air and ground collisions. At least one 36HX or 46HX series light must be installed to enable pulse mode.
