Airglas began in 1955 in Anchorage, Alaska, where founder Wes Landes started designing and building aircraft skis to solve the unique landing challenges of Alaska’s backcountry, glaciers, and soft terrain. From the outset, the goal has been to engineer the most rugged, dependable landing systems in the industry using innovation and world-class expertise to design skis used for landing in deep snow, on glaciers, oil platforms, and on soft sand or marsh.
