Engineered for fast spin-up, dependable cranking, and long service life across the Lycoming piston lineup. Every series is built around Sky-Tec's Kickback Protection System (KPS), which is self-resetting on the E-Drive and HT lines, and field-replaceable shear pin on the NL, so a kickback event doesn't take your starter or ring gear with it.
The starters below cover 12V and 24V systems, 122- and 149-tooth ring gears, left- and right-hand rotation, and includes purpose-built options for helicopter and high-duty-cycle applications.
