Factory Overhauled Aircraft Magnetos for Lycoming, Continental, and Franklin Engines

Hartzell PowerUp overhauled magnetos are fully disassembled and inspected to demanding standards. Only the best serviceable components are reused, and any part that doesn't pass inspection is replaced with a new, technically enhanced PowerUp detail part. The result is a magneto that looks new, installs like new, and performs like new. These FAA-PMA overhauled magnetos are available for both 4- and 6-cylinder engines and serve as direct replacements for legacy Slick magneto applications on Lycoming, Continental, and Franklin engines.

Every PowerUp Deluxe overhaul includes upgraded internal components:

• Impulse Coupling: Single-piece hub, no rivets, no SBs or ADs
• Capacitor: Internally grounded lead; square insulator and stud base reduces over-torquing risk
• Coil: Thicker insulation for higher spark; thicker lamination plates resist assembly deformation
• Breaker Points: Metal frame clamp-up force and improved spring eliminate point bounce and drift
• Block Assembly: Arc suppression ribs reduce misfires; asymmetric geometry prevents mis-installation
• Distributor Gear: Monel for arc erosion resistance; heat-staked electrode for stability

Includes 1-year warranty. Core return necessary to receive core credit. All internal components replaced with new PowerUp enhanced parts.
