FAA-PMA Bendix Replacement Magnetos for Continental Engines

Replace your Bendix or CMI (formerly TCM) 20 or 200 series magneto with a new, FAA-PMA approved PowerUp unit built to exceed legacy performance standards. The 20 series uses impulse coupling, while the 200 series features Shower of Sparks ignition, both available for 4- and 6-cylinder Continental engines.

Full PMA replacement parts, overhaul services, and 500-hour inspections are also available. PowerUp Bendix magnetos are engineered with improvements to every critical ignition component for reliable starts, reduced misfires, and extended service life.

Key improvements include:

• Impulse Coupling: Rivet-free single-piece hub, no SBs or ADs required
• Capacitor: Internally grounded lead; square insulator reduces installation errors
• Coil: Higher spark output with thicker insulation and deformation-resistant lamination plates
• Breaker Points: Metal frame clamping and upgraded spring reduce point bounce and long-term drift
• Block Assembly: Arc suppression ribs and asymmetric geometry prevent misfires and mis-installation
• Distributor Gear: Monel material with heat-staked electrode for arc resistance and mechanical stability
