FS20 Fuel Selector Valves

Andair 3/8” Fuel Selectors

All Andair fuel selector valves are designed to incorporate safety features to prevent inadvertent fuel shut off. Andair fuel selectors are engineered to provide smooth action between each tank selection. The FS20 selectors provide a choice of lower and side fittings. All units can be operated with universal joints and an extension.

The FS20 range provides a choice of lower and side fittings, and all units can be operated with an extension and universal joints. The fascia plates come with standard engravings.

FS20X1 Selectors

The FS20x1 is a simple shut-off valve with two positions (ON – OFF) with a 90-degree action between each position. The action is smooth and easy. The safety button is located on top of the lever and must be raised to switch off the fuel. This helps prevent the fuel from being accidentally turned off. On the FS20-1 valve, there are two ports and either port can be used as the inlet or outlet.

FS20X2 Selectors

The FS20-2 is a three-way fuel selector with the positions (LEFT - RIGHT – OFF). There is a 90-degree action between each tank selection. The FS20-2 has no lower fitting, which means that it is ideal for areas where there is little space behind the valve. This valve has also proven to be popular in an airplane configuration where there are two fuselage tanks, for example main, header or front and rear. On this valve, the inlet ports are located at the left- and right-hand side and the outlet towards the front. When the valve is in the OFF position there is no cross-feed between the tanks.

FS20X3 Selectors

The FS20-3 is the most popular valve that Andair produces. It is a three-way selector with the positions (LEFT - RIGHT – OFF). There is a 180-degree action between the left and right, giving it a logical arrangement. Generally, this valve is used in low wing aircraft with a tank in each wing and has been popular with the RV range of aircraft. The valve has smooth action between tanks which is an important feature with frequent tank switching. There is a strong, firm detent at each tank position giving a welcome reassurance that the valve is in the correct position.

When the selector is in the OFF position, there is no cross feed between each tank. So, if you have your airplane parked on a slope, or if one tank is fuller than the other, no cross feed will occur.

FS20X4 Selectors

The FS20x4 Fuel Selector is designed for high wing aircraft where it is possible to feed from both tanks simultaneously. Porting for both positions is done internally so there is no need to T the two tanks together. There is a 90-degree action between each tank selection, and the safety feature where the red button on the lever must be raised to switch off the fuel. On the FS20x4 there are 3 ports.

When the selector is in the OFF position, there is no cross feed between each tank. So, if you have your airplane parked on a slope, or if one tank is fuller than the other, no cross feed will occur.

FS20X7 Selector

The FS20-7 has been designed for easy fitting and operation. It is a 3-way Fuel Selector with positions (LEFT - RIGHT – OFF). The set-up of this valve is such that the LEFT and RIGHT tank positions are at 45 degrees to the centerline of the aircraft. On the FS20-7 there is a 90-degree action between the LEFT and RIGHT tank position and the OFF is to the rear. A smooth action and firm detents at each tank position make the valve a valuable and worthwhile addition your aircraft.

The FS20-7 has been designed for center consol mounting with inlets at the 45-degree positions, to the LEFT and RIGHT, and the outlet is at the base of the valve. A blanking plate is necessary to oppose the forces of the internal precision seals. This must not be removed or tampered with.
