Quality and Value are back together again
PowerUp deluxe overhauled magnetos use the best of serviceable parts and new parts which results in a magneto of OEM quality at an overhauled price. Their inspection criteria is demanding and they only use the best of serviceable parts. If a part does not pass the inspection criteria, then PowerUp replaces the unserviceable part with a new replacement part. When delivered to our customers to be installed on your airplane’s engine, the PowerUp overhauled mag looks new and will operate like new.
Value overhauls have all wear components replaced. The block, gear, impulse coupling, and coil are inspected and replaced as necessary.

|---|
Impulse Coupling: Single-piece impulse coupling hub design with no rivets. Improved durability and manufacturability with no SB or AD’s.
Capacitor Design: Internally grounded lead for improved durability. Square insulator and stud base, less prone to over-torquing during installation.
Coil Design: Thicker insulation allows for a higher spark, thicker lamination plates on the top and bottom resists deformation during assembly.
Breaker Points: Clamp-up force applied to metal frame (instead of plastic). Improved spring eliminates point bounce (these methods reduce point drift over service life).
Block Assembly: Arc suppression ribs added to the bridge in high tension carbon brush zone, reducing miss-fires, and geometric asymmetry prevents incorrect installation.
Distributor Gear: Distributor gear made from Monel for superior arc erosion resistance. Electrode is heat staked to the shaft and hub for mechanical stability.

FAA-PMA approved harnesses for Continental and Lycoming engines
Unique spring design:
PowerUp aircraft engine ignition harnesses incorporate a negative-pitch spring design (the tip of the coil spring extends inward) allowing the coil spring tip to lie flat against the spark plug electrode, providing 360º contact. Ignition energy is maximized and flashover is reduced to a minimum.
Replaceable contact springs:
Replacement springs are available separately saving you time and money when a field repair is necessary.
Plated steel nut:
Steel nuts offer superior strength compared to aluminum nuts and reduce the potential for galling during installation.
Performance:
Using a tinned-copper, nickel plated braid shielding substantially reduces EMI and combined with a very flexible 19 strand conductor of stainless steel wire provides the ultimate in wire conductivity and ease of installation.
Abrasion and heat resistant:
The abrasion resistant red polymer cover has been engineered specifically for the high-temperature environment of reciprocating engines.
