These channel assemblies are included in the Cessna Service Kit P/N HASK172-147 (forward doorpost reinforcement kit), which is an FAA-PMA approved service kit designed to strengthen a known structural stress point on select Cessna aircraft. This kit is engineered as a direct alternative to the OEM Cessna SK172-147 service kit, designed to support compliance with FAA Airworthiness Directive AD 2020-18-01. It reinforces the lower forward cabin doorpost and strut-attach bulkhead area (the region where fatigue cracking has been documented across the fleet).
