MCSK185-27 Stabilizer Jackscrew Access Cover Kit
Replaces Original SK185-27 For Cessna 180 and 185 Aircraft
FAA-PMA approved access cover and doubler kit designed to improve inspection and maintenance access to the horizontal stabilizer jackscrew on Cessna 180 and 185 aircraft.
This kit replaces the original SK185-27 configuration with an improved dimpled cover and countersunk fastener design, reducing cover movement and screw loosening caused by repeated operational loads and inspection access.

Kit Includes
- Uniquely dimpled access cover

- Rivets for doubler installation

This kit is ideal for owners upgrading from original SK185-27 installations or adding an access panel during tailcone maintenance.
Installation Notes
- Install per original Cessna SK185-27 service kit instructions
- 1/8" rivets included (oversize rivets not included)
- Where match drilling is not possible (due to no existing holes in the aircraft structure), follow FAA AC 43.13 best practices
- Use included countersunk screws with the McFarlane dimpled cover
- Original washer-head screws should only be reused with OEM plain-hole covers
