Three Leaf Tailspring: this three-leaf steel tailspring reliably absorbs and dissipates landing energy to minimize bounce. At 5.6 lbs, it balances durability with weight efficiency. A dependable, cost-effective tailwheel solution for certified PA-18 aircraft. Available with 1-bolt (ABI-PA18-1) or 2-bolt (ABI-PA18-2).
Titanium Tailspring: this single-leaf tailspring is machined from 6AL-4V titanium. Significantly lighter than steel, with superior shock absorption and elasticity for smoother landings across a wide range of conditions. Heat-treated for maximum strength and durability. Titanium's natural corrosion resistance eliminates the need for paint, reducing long-term maintenance costs. Can be painted if desired. Available with 1-bolt (ABI-51599-1) or 2-bolt (ABI-51599).
