Superflite Anti-Chafe and Reinforcement Tape
Sticky Back Reinforcement Tape
Provides additional strength to the fabric and helps prevent tearing that rib stitching rivets, screws, or clips may cause when being secured. The Superflite reinforcement tape also doubles as an anti-chafe tape. It is similar to a masking tape with fiberglass fibers woven into it. Use this tape under the fabric as an anti-chafe tape and over the fabric (on the ribs) as a reinforcement tape. Non-sticky rib bracing tape also available.
Use Superflite rib bracing tape (SF-TWILL) and anti-chafe tape (SF-REINFTAPE) only. Tapes such as paper masking tape, duct tape, and aluminum-faced tape will cause problems such as mold, corrosion, and it could have bond failure due to heat.
