Is Superflite prop paint compliant with current emissions regulations?

Yes, it's compliant with EPA and CA regulations and meets the MIR requirement for aerosol formulations

Does prop paint need to be air-dried or heat cured?

Either. It air dries or can be low-temperature cured. Recoat window is before 15 minutes or after 48 hours; dry-through is 24 hours.

Is there a minimum application temperature for prop paint?

Yes, do not apply below 50°F. Recommended application range is 60°F to 85°F.

What's the Tempo equivalent for SF3000-A and SF3100-A?

SF3000-A gloss white replaces Tempo A152; SF3100-A flat black replaces Tempo A150.

Are these products sold individually, or only in kits?

Individually. There's no minimum quantity required for ordering.

Can I use these aerosols for a full repaint, or just touch-up?

They're formulated and packaged for touch-up and small-area work. For a full repaint, a professional shop applying larger-format product is the better fit.

What should I do before applying any of these products?

Wash the surface with mild detergent, rinse, dry, then sand and featheredge where needed. Mask off or protect areas from overspray before spraying.

What safety equipment is required to apply these aerosols?

A properly fitted air-purifying respirator with organic cartridges and a particulate filter (or a fresh-air supplied respirator), eye protection, gloves, and protective clothing.

Can Prop Guard boots be used with Superflite prop paints?

Superflite prop paints are air dry aerosols. It is not recommended to use with Prop Guard. If you are wanting to use Prop Guard, we recommend using a 2-part paint with appropriate primer, or original manufacturer's paint to ensure proper adhesion.
