E-Magneto Plug Wire Harness
E-MAG Aircraft Ignition Harnesses
Pre-assembled E-MAG control harnesses with pre-wired circular connectors for simplified installation. These harnesses eliminate the need to solder individual control wires to the standard circular plug, making them an ideal choice for new installations or when replacing an existing harness.
- EMB04201-B: 96" color-coded pigtail leads, straight, potted circular Mil connector
- EMB04201-B90: 96" color-coded pigtail leads, 90-degree boot configuration, potted connector
- EMB04401-1: Potted circular plug with standard pigtail configuration
Wire Color Code:
- Red (Pin A) — Bus power (14V–28V)
- Black (Pin B) — Cockpit ground
- Yellow (Pin E) — Kill switch / P-lead
- Blue (Pin F) — Tachometer output (3 PPR)
- Pins C & D — Not used
The potted connector is approximately 1/2" shorter than the standard solder-cup connector, which can be advantageous in tight accessory case installations.

What is a good core return?
A good core retunr for a factory overhauled Slick Magneto is going to be a current series 4300 or 6300 Slick Magneto. If a new Slick Magneto is purchased, then older series Slick Magnetos can be considered for credit on a case by case basis.
Does this Magneto come with an impulse?
Check the "Detail" tab of the Slick Magneto that you are interested in buying and the Slick Magneto listed with a "Type: Impulsed" will come up with an impulse coupling.
What are the possible bill backs that I can get on a core return for my Slick Magneto?
There are no bill backs on a core return that is a current series 4300 or 6300 Slick Magneto.
For a Slick Magneto what is the service time?
According to the Slick Magneto by Champion Overhaul Manual L-1363F, the magneto should be overhauled at TBO, lighting strike, prop strike, sudden stoppage of the engine and immersion of the aircraft.
