The 71105 series are Forward Navigation Lights. LEDs provide a significant reduction in electrical current draw over conventional light bulbs. Direct replacement for Whelen W1285 series (version STC on Learjet aircraft).

- Aircraft as marked require specific attention to proper balancing of rudder. Refer to the Service Manual for balancing instructions.
- Installations on these aircraft require prior or concurrent installation of STC SA4-977.
- Installation is limited to the previously approved landing/taxi light lamp size, voltage and location(s).
- AD 96-10-01 R1or later revision must be complied with prior to installing the Parmetheus Plus LED light assemblies.
- No approved installation located on the retracting portion of a landing gear.

The SunSpot 36HX landing and taxi lights and SunSpot 46HX can be installed with the pulse function enabled in any model listed on the AML under STC, or in other aircraft models with a 337 that uses the AML STC as a basis for approval.

What are the installation requirements for the TSO lights?
If the lights are mounted to an existing mounting location with no structural modifications and existing wiring can be re-used, the lights can be installed with a log book entry.
If there are modifications to the wiring, a 337 should be submitted for approval for the installation.
If there are structural modifications made to mount the lights, a more extensive approval may be required, ranging from a 337 to an STC.
