AD 68-07-07 addresses the weld between the rudder pedal stub tube and the pedal shaft on certain Cessna 188 series aircraft, not the shaft itself, so installing MC1460501-21 does not create any new AD compliance requirements. However, before installing a new pedal shaft, it's worth confirming that the existing rudder pedal assembly on your aircraft already meets AD 68-07-07, specifically that the stub tube weldment has been inspected and reinforced per Cessna Service Letter 67-47 if required.
