Prevent frequent cracking and premature failure!
Engine isolators, Cowl Saver baffle seals, cowl attaching hardware, and more also available for Piper PA-28 aircraft.
The forward bulkhead experiences significant vibration while the propeller is turning. Vibration stresses generated between the spinner assembly and the propeller mount during operation are the primary cause of premature cracking in Piper bulkheads. McFarlane specifically designed a geometric improvement to the bulkhead to help reduce these stresses. Our improvement features a small ridge in the cross-section of the bulkhead’s front face, acting as a spring, absorbing some of the vibration, reducing stress, and extending the lifespan of the bulkhead.
